Well, I thought this post deserved fireworks. For the first time in may years GlyphLab.com has a totally new website and a blog on all things icon. Even a new identity.
A New Logo
I’ve gone right back to the start! When GlyphLab started twenty years ago I played with the idea of “Lab”, as in “Laboratory” and came up with a logo that looked like the type of conical flask a chemist might use. After a while the idea was dropped, but to celebrate our twentieth anniversary I decided it was time to bring it back, cleaner and fresher. It’s even used in some of the animations I have added to the website.
By the way, I created the animations myself, so I am open to requests for simple animations (HTML 5 / mp4, AVI etc) with a similar level of complexity.
A Completely New Website
Switching to WordPress and using the excellent Elementor Website Builder plugin has been amazing. I’ve been able to do everything I wanted on the site and more. A simple, clean design to let the icons stand out
The Icon Blog
I don’t really need to announce this – you are here anyway! There’s so much I want to tell you about the world of icons I decided I had to have a blog. Here’s are the typical subjects I will be writing about.
- New icon products, including special offers.
- Icon news – what’s hot in icon design.
- Custom design case studies (with the permission of the client, of course.)
- Tutorials – yes, I’m going to give some secrets away.
- Lots more that I haven’t thought about at the moment!
So, take a look around and check back regularly for new articles. If you want to get in touch there’s a contact form on most pages, or simply email dave@glyphlab.com.
